This is definitely one of my highlights for the year 2017. I am already claiming it. I got an invite to attend a ‘Bloggers Meeting’ at BANGS Prime Salon by Tony & Jackey in their newly opened branch in SM Megamall, Building B. Wait, first what is BANGS Prime Salon? Let me tell you.
Bangs Prime Salon is the dream salon for individuals who haven’t experienced the professional touch and beauty of styling before. All their hairstylists are pure-blooded Koreans with no less than seven years of professional experience in Korea. The salon is also acknowledged as L’Oreal Professional Artistic Ambassador Circle 2013 for Perming & Hair Care.
Let me give you some idea on how the salon started. Since the Korean invasion is very much on and still going strong, one brilliant mind came up with the idea of establishing a salon that would cater the needs of Koreans and give them the satisfaction that they are like in their own country. The idea was put into action where a sole proprietor took the challenge of opening a salon in 2001 that is located in Remedios Street, Corner, Guerrero Street Malate.
Opening such a salon needs a name that could catch attention and should be easy on the eyes. The owner then used the names of the two pioneer Korean hairstylists named Tony and Jackey. The names used really hit the market since most of the customers ask for both of them. As the salon continues to serve its Customers with satisfaction and good service; more people seek to extraordinary Korean hairstyle.
It’s so fascinating that the salon wanted at first to serve Koreans in the Philippines but after a while Filipinos started patronizing their services because hell ya it’s like world class service and experience. They are using high-end products and equipments which are imported from Korea and Japan.
When I was young, I used to go to my traditional local barbershop here in Manila. But as I grow older, I realized that I needed a professional touch, a treatment for my hair. I am not saying that traditional barbershops are not professional but mostly they offer haircut only. So today, basically, I had treatment which is called “MUCOTA Scena Clinic”. This treatment includes Adel, Brava & Calore. Now, what are these? Well, it will calm your hair and bring out your hair’s natural shine. Who wants that? Of course, everybody wants a natural shiny hair.
GOAL: To moisturize and nourish the hair
First my hairstylist, Dan, applied Mucota Scena Adel, the product is left for about 15 minutes or so. Then they rinsed the product off. This is good for dry hair. It will moisturized your damaged hair from inside and it will make your hair glow and soft. Naks! Sounds good, yes!
Adel contains nano-sized ceramide, cholesterol and amino acids which can penetrate into the hair to repair from within and to retain moisture as well.
GOAL: To repair and to lock in the nutrients in the hair
Next, Mucota Scena Brava was sprayed to my hair. It has 5 kinds of hair repair elements to treat hair damages. To get the perfect result of the product, my hairstylist had to put my hair under the hair steamer. The steamer radiates infrared which helps to rejuvenate my scalp. After steaming my hair, I was then moved to the washing area. Time to rinse!
The Brava contains a reactive ceramide-like substance that could penetrate into the hair by binding itself to water molecules, then transform to a net-like structure to prevent the loss of moisture and other repair elements which are already found in the hair.
GOAL: To protect our hair cuticle.
Mucota Scena Calore was applied to my hair. It simply protects our hair cuticle and to make our hair smoother, control light diffuse reflection, and create lustrous hair base. (Wow! I did not know our hair has cuticle. I thought it only exist in our nails. Haha!)
The hair cuticle is the outermost part of the hair shaft. It is formed from dead cells, overlapping in layers, which form scales that gives the hair shaft strength and provide protection for it. This help to regenerate the surface of the cuticle so that the hair is protected from external damage.
One more wash, then I’ll be ready!
Okay, now let’s dry my hair. Come here, oppa dry my hair. Oppa, save me. Haha.
Do you even notice the changes in my hair? Seriously, it looks perfect, moisturized, rejuvenated, banged! Because that’s what Bangs Prime Salon wants. Oh yeah, #styleyourdream
Oh before I forget, he dyed my hair using L’Oreal Hair Color. I consulted Dan which color fits to my hair and my skin tone and then he chose this color shown in the picture.
